iFIT responds to members with Netflix and Prime Video streaming
iFIT Adds Prime/NetFlix Entertainment
Recently out of beta, iFIT 2.0 has added Netflix and Prime Video access for its members as part of an expanded feature set and redesign of its (UI) user interface. Now, users will have screen buttons at the bottom of the APP to watch movies and shows while working out. As the latest beta is being rolled out, more members are invited to try-out the new features. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video streaming
One of the most demanded features is now to become a native iFIT option. iFIT has added the capability to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime Video or listen to Spotify as members work out. There is an overlay that displays stats for the session over the streamed video, so users can keep track of how their workout is going at the same time.
iFIT joins Peloton and SoulCycle At Home Bike to provide entertainment as part of their workout apps. Netflix and Prime Video will be available across Nordictrack, Proform, and FreeMotion treadmills, bikes, rowers, and ellipticals. Learn more about all the new IFIT features.
Some new iFit 2.0 features, like streaming and Workout Creator, may not be available for older-generation exercise equipment before 2022. For backward compatibility, we tested the iFIT 2.0 beta on the S27i Studio Cycle we purchased in March 2022, and all features worked seamlessly. For those interested, the Nordictrack S27i Exercise Bike has been superseded by the New Nordictrack X24 Bike.
iFIT Overview
To recap, iFIT is an annual or monthly subscription-based fitness technology platform tightly connected with your Nordictrack or Proform Treadmill, Exercise Bike, indoor Rower, or Elliptical to an extensive library of equipment-specific trainer-led sessions that take your workout experience to extraordinary destinations across the globe.
Closely integrated with your exercise equipment features, iFIT enables trainers to interact in real-time with your treadmill, bike, or rower to adjust the speed, resistance, or incline, and some treadmill and bike models, even adjust the decline, all to match instructor cues plus changes in the terrain encountered as you are biking, running, walking, or hiking.
