Like the line made famous onscreen in the movie Terminator “I’ll Be Back”, after four years in Recall Exile, Peloton’s premium elite treadmill, The Tread+ is finally once again available to order for U.S. customers only.

Tread+ Features
Peloton Tread+ has a rubberized slat belt, composed of 59 individual slats, laid out to provide a nice center line down the middle of the running deck and gives you 67 inches of somewhat cushioned running space.
Peloton Tread+ also features a large screen (32” HD tilting touchscreen) and incline elevation up to 15%, with uniquely designed peloton control knobs on each handrail side to quickly adjust incline and speed while in motion.

Peloton Tread+ Unique Running Deck
Peloton Tread+ Rubberized Slat Belt Running Deck contributes to its 450 lbs out of box weight
Peloton Tread+ slat-belt is composed of 59 individual rubberized slats, driven by a 2.0 HP motor. This type of running deck typically is found only on ultra-premium treadmills, and allows for a springier step, more cushion, and less impact on the knees and other joints, pushing you forward while you focus on effort.
Slat belts are found in commercial settings, like gyms or training facilities. For residential use, competitors are similarly priced or more expensive like the Woodway or Assault AirRunner models. One drawback is that this type of running deck tends to make the treadmills extremely heavy. In the case of the Peloton Tread+ out of box weight is: 455 lbs which is on the heaver side for a treadmill.

Peloton Tread+ Free Mode
Free Mode disengages the slat belt’s motor and allows you to power Peloton Tread+ solely by your muscles as you walk or run along the Treadmill belt. It’s a similar concept to manual mode on other treadmill products.
Free Mode can help elevate workouts when you’re looking for an additional challenge and allows you to develop your power by moving from walk to full sprint in seconds. Challenge your cardiovascular system beyond using the motorized mode, by practicing drills that allow you to focus on form, core, and single leg dynamics.
Prior, Peloton has only offered official Peloton content without any ability to access external content. Now, members can log into their Amazon and YouTube and soon Netflix accounts through their Peloton display and watch their favorite content.
